The IOSH Managing Safely course in Abu Dhabi is a 3-day accredited health and safety training for managers, supervisors, and team leaders. Learn hazard identification, risk assessment, incident investigation, and legal responsibilities — and earn the internationally recognized IOSH Managing Safely certificate. Available in classroom, live online across the UAE, or on-site for corporate teams.
IOSH Managing Safely is the world's most popular health and safety course for people in supervisory and management roles, developed by the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH). Unlike specialist HSE qualifications, it is designed for managers in any industry — construction, oil & gas, hospitality, facilities, logistics, or office environments — who are responsible for the safety of their teams.
Over 3 days at our Abu Dhabi training center (or live online from anywhere in the UAE and GCC), you'll learn to assess and control workplace risks, understand your legal responsibilities under UAE regulations, investigate incidents, and measure safety performance. Training is delivered in English or Arabic by experienced HSE instructors, with mock tests and full support through the IOSH assessment.
The IOSH Managing Safely certificate is recognized by employers worldwide and is the recommended first step before progressing to the NEBOSH IGC for a full-time safety officer career.
Module 1: Introducing Managing Safely — Why manage safely: moral, legal, and financial reasons; manager accountability for health and safety.
Module 2: Assessing Risks — Hazards, hazardous events, and risk; the risk assessment process and risk rating systems.
Module 3: Controlling Risks — Evaluating risk with a risk matrix; the hierarchy of risk control; reducing likelihood and consequence; residual risk.
Module 4: Understanding Responsibilities — What the law requires; criminal vs civil liability; health and safety management systems and leadership.
Module 5: Understanding Hazards — The six hazard categories: mechanical, physical, chemical, environmental, biological, and organisational — and how to manage each.
Module 6: Investigating Incidents — Incidents, accidents, and near misses; root cause analysis; structured incident investigation and reporting.
Module 7: Measuring Performance — Proactive and reactive performance indicators; internal and external auditing.
